How does Laser hair removal work?
The laser emits light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles and as a result inhibits hair growth.

Is laser hair removal for all skin types and hair types?
At Pure Medspa, we use the Candela, Gentle Max Pro laser. It is the Gold Standard for Laser Hair Removal in ALL Fitzpatrick skin types. It can treat all skin types because it is dual-wavelength laser. As far as hair types, red, blonde, white, and grey hairs cannot be treated because the laser targets pigment.

Is laser hair Removal painful?
Our laser uses Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) that sprays a fine mist of cryogen with each laser pulse. This device minimizes pain, protects the skin, and enables the laser energy to gently reach and treat hair follicles.

Are Laser Hair Removal Results Permanent?
Results vary depending on skin and hair type. Studies have shown that many people can achieve permanent hair reduction of up to 85-90% and the remaining hair returns lighter and softer.
